|Selamah Maamor is currently a senior lecturer of Islamic Economics at Department of Muamalat and Islamic Finance, Islamic Business School (IBS), College of Business, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). She got her PhD in Islamic Economics from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Bangi Malaysia. She has published in refereed journals such as Journal of Islamic Economics, Banking and Finance, Journal of Finance and Accounting, International Journal of Business and Management, Bankers Journal and Jurnal Ekonomi Malaysia. Her papers have also been presented in many international and local conferences, such as International Islamic Finance Conference and Islamic Banking and Finance Workshop. Her research interests include efficiency, performance and development of pawnshop, Islamic Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) and Islamic financial institutions. She has been a lecturer since 2000 and has been teaching several economics courses such as Islamic economics, principles of economics, macroeconomics, mathematical of economics and Islamic economics system, and managerial economics.
